Comments: Hotel is at 3750 meter / 12,303 foot elevation. Double room with WC has 2 single beds, table, 2 chairs, desk, TV, TV stand, cabinet, nightstand, closet, thermos of hot water, and WC with sit-down toilet, hot-water shower/tub, and sink. Bath towels and toilet paper are provided. The double room with WC is similar to a 3-star hotel in the West. The cheaper double rooms and single rooms without WC are old and much less luxurious. Reception speaks limited English.

Shared WC is an outhouse without running water and no doors. No showers. No running water. Breakfast at the hotel is ¥10. No English spoken.

Comments: Hotel is at 3900 meter / 12,795 foot elevation. Dorm room has 3 or 4 single beds, table, chair, TV, nightstand, and thermos of hot water. Shared WC is 50 meters from the dorm building and has 4 squat-type toilets with running water but no doors. There are no showers. The only faucet is a cold tap outside the dorm building. Double rooms have private WC and hot shower. Breakfast at the hotel is ¥15. For those in the dorm who want to shower, the public bath in the center of town charges ¥5 per person for a private shower room with plenty of hot water. To get there, ask hotel reception to give instructions to a ¥10 taxi or ¥3 3-wheeled motorized scooter (called a san'-lu).

Comments: Hotel is at 2300 meter / 7546 foot elevation. Room with single beds, table, TV, TV stand, and thermos of hot water. The filthy shared WC has 2 squat-type toilets with running water and a half-height door, a sink, and an omnipresent stench of urine. Showers on the top floor are an additional ¥8 per person. Meals are ridiculously overpriced relative to surrounding restaurants. Breakfast is ¥30, and lunch or dinner is ¥50. No English spoken.
